Would appear from pbo that Roger Taylor has got fed up with the small size of a Corribee and has moved up to the more spacious A24. Triple keel and oodles of space.

Yes, saw that tantalisingly brief comment - interested to know more but there's nothing on his website that I could find.

I have been reading his books and also ssw he had purchased a 24. He was a great fan of the Corribee and the junk rig so İ was surprised. However when reading his books İ thought how much he would have benefited from the better performance especially in light winds. İ am sure we will hear his views sometime and it will be interesting to read.

A junk rigged A24 would be a sight to behold !!

I seem to remember that earlier this year somebody on th east coast was selling a mast because they had converted to junk rig

Blimey.. That is would be one hell of a project. I think you would have to move the mast forward at least a couple of feet in order to get the centre of effort of the junk rig over the correct part of the hull.

Whatever Roger Taylor decides to do, judging by his previous efforts an A24 is going to end up in some very interesting places.

Let';s hope he finds us here so we can share our experiences with us.

He amazes me as he doesnt seem to ever want to leave the cabin when sailing.

Scott is right, Roger Taylor advertised a mast on the Achilles site back in March. I emailed him to suggest that he should put details on here, and he said he would.....

Yes Roger emailed me with his ad. He told me that he will be taking two summers to rig MingMing2 before continuing with his adventures. He has a web site, (this link is on the A24 sail numbers list for hull 159 (Mingming 2))
which has plenty of information including lots of photos and videos of MingMing but nothing yet on MingMing 2. There will be eventually he tells me.

There's an article about Roger Taylor in this month's Yachting Monthly, including a photo of the interior of MingMing II.

Not an in-depth analysis of the Achilles 24, but an interesting article nevertheless.

Roger Taylor has written an article for the online magazine "East Coast Sailing". The title of the article is "The making of Mingming II - Part 1" so I guess there will more to come, but what he has written so far is very interesting.
