So good for us to see the photographs on this site. We have just returned from a six weeks cruise from Cesme to the Marmaris area and back calling in at Greek Islands on the way. This year we have seen almost no British yachts and certainly none below 35 feet. That is until the last day before getting back to Cesme when in the anchorage of Kirkdillim there were 5 yachts where there are usually one or none. Three were older British boats - Fisher 34 we knew from Mallorca(I always used to think these were big but it looks tiny here) a Moody and a Westerly Falcon, both known from Yat Marin Marimaris. Almost all the boats seen were newish Bavarias, Beneteaus etc. In Samos nearly all the boats seen were charter boats around 49 feet and with a paid skipper on board and crews of 4 couples who did nothing. We love it out here but really do miss the side of our hobby that revolves around the smaller, older boats. The Turks seem to agree as they take a lot of interest in our 9 metre and give many compliments. Did see a Vancouver 32 out of the water in Marmaris but that was up for sale for 25K euros.
