MMM yes I have tried Wind Guru here on PC normally find Windfinder more accurate but would be better than nothing didn't realise they did an APP. I don't find marinecall that helpful for the price.

Most accurate site is Free for 24hours but charged for longer forecasts. Used by Americas cup contestant Alingi. Uses the best resolution of all the other sites and gives forecasts based on two different data sets. Don't know if there is an app. Why do you need an app, just go on the net directly to the site.

Thats fine Norman but with an APP I can use it on the boat when away without going to the expense of buying Navtex. nor without paying a fortune for a WIFI subscription that I would hardly use. Have my Blackberry on me all the time.

Windguru was my bible in the Caribbean, accurate to the 2 hour period when the wind direction would change more northerly on a delivery from BVI to Antigua. The shift, off St Kitts/Nevis, allowed us to lift and lay Antigua before nightfall after 32 hours running. Used it ever since.
Now, Scottish and British weather is probably a bit more complex to predict......

I like the windguru app for the Android, predictwind is excellent for the PC but don't have a mobile app yet so difficult to navigate on the phone. Also the Navionixs app has wind with forcasting and this is good, on the chart as wind arrows and strength now and in the future.

I also like

I have to admit to being a bit thick but can android apps be used on Blackberry? as I have just found that windfinder do one for Android but wasn't sure about compatibility .
Wind Guru I know holds favour with many and was popular when we were in Turkey but here in S.E have found it often in conflict with Windfinder, and windfinder has proven to be nearer what prevails

You can't use android or iphone apps on a blackberry, need to find out if they are available as blackberry apps.
