had an eberspacher hot air diesel heater in my boat (BEYOND THERAPY)
but its stoped working....wondered if anyone can help
it was working fine ..put all fittings in boat s/s vent etc now selling boat but wondered if its worth fixing heater and reinstalling..
would it up the price or am i wasting my time..
was told it was most likely the glow plug at fault?

Hi We have thes Eberspacher heaters on the ambulances and they are great all the time they are working but regularly breakdown. Personally unless your buyer is keen to have one I wouldn't bother selling it with the boat, perhaps selling it as a seperate item would be more viable. Quite frankly I don't know what the others think but a heater like this is a bit wasted on an achilles.
I believe that they are simple to fix and i can perhaps ask one of our fitters likely causes of failure, if you are intrerested.

I use an electric tube heater in the marina which is adequate for background heating though was a bit challlenged on new years eve night when we slept on board and had to resort to fan heater.

An Eberspacher would mean carrying extra diesel , I believe that you have a Vire petrol inboard, so that means extra fuel weight.

personally I wouldn't pay extra to have this on board the Achilles, but I am sure you would get a good price on e bay for it.

I must stress that that was my opinion others may disagree, all in all I don't think that you would have any trouble getting rid of it on E bay as it is a versatile unit that could fit most boats.
