About Achilles

This is a group which allows you to upload photos and to take part or start discussions about Achilles sailing yachts. About 800 Achilles yachts were made in the 60's, 70's and 80's. There were three types the 24, 8.4 and 9, of which the smallest 24 was the most popular with about 600 produced.
Would all members please use their PROFILE to give us their name and boat details including boat name, keel type, engine(s) type and any unusual features.
Don't for obvious reasons give out addresses and telephone numbers or other very personal details since this is a public forum open to anyone. If you need to pass personal information I suggest you use Flickr email to pass details of your other non Flickr email address and then use that to pass sensitive information.
Remember that unless you protect them, ALL your Flickr photos (not just the ones you upload to the Achilles group) can be seen by anyone, as can your profile which includes information about any other groups you belong to. I suggest that if you want to belong to several groups that you use a different Flickr ID for them.
We all love a bit of banter, but anyone continually messing about or simply being rude will reluctantly be banned from the group.
