About Accessory Trends: Celebrate!

Certain days or events just cry out for matching jewelry :) Accessory Trends: Celebrate! showcases seasonal accessories for birthdays, weddings, special events and holidays, but is not meant to be a generic showcase of accessories, nor an online store.

Post accessories in the traditional colour combinations, shapes and symbols that mean so much on special days. The pictures could be of items you've made, recently purchased, received as a gift, something you've seen on the streets, or a vintage item that works with a current look.

Examples:
Valentine's: Items in pink AND red; red, hearts, lips, lockets
Breast cancer awareness month: Items in pink
Birthdays: inspirational messages, names, initials, stars, cakes, candles
Chinese new year: Items in red AND gold, oranges, money
Chinese zodiac: Items that have pictures of any of the 12 animals that make up the zodiac.
St Patrick's Day: shamrocks
Mother's Day: Matryoshkas, carnations
Fourth of July: Items in red, white AND blue, flags
Engagements & Weddings: white or clear accessories; rings; things with mostly lace, things with mostly white pearls; boutonierres; corsages
Easter: Items in pastel colors (three or more), bunnies, eggs, daisies, tulips
Halloween: Items in orange AND black, skulls, pumpkins, bats, witches, owls
Day of the dead: skulls
Poppies Day: Poppies
Christmas: Items in red AND white or red, green AND white, holly, Christmas trees or ornaments, gingerbread men, snowflakes, snowmen, angels, candy canes etc
