About the coastal town

This is the coastal town they forgot to close down...



This group is dedicated to the coastal towns.

The coast in all its fullness, its glory, its disgrace, its mystery, its crassness. From Felixstowe to Frisco Bay, from Llandudno to Rangoon Lido. Reach the edge of the land, find a town, and take some photographs.

It isn't necessary for every photo to feature the sea, slot machines or sailors, but it isn't sufficient for the photo to have been taken in a coastal town - the image should reflect something of the qualities of coastness, a photo which, perhaps, would not have been the same if it was taken a hundred miles in land.

Photos that are clearly nothing to do with the group will be removed. Similarly, large cities that just happen to be near the sea - London, Tokyo, Venice, etc - don't count as coastal towns unless your image proves that they are.

There is no posting limit, but mass dumping is severely frowned upon.
