My name is Catt aka "Playful" and I just created a dining and social activities group on Meetup. It's called: A Playful Naperville Dining Out & Social Activities Group. {This site is where some of the pics will be posted from our events}

Meet People Interested in Dining Out and other Social Events in your area! Come to a local "Playful" Meetup to break bread with fellow foodies and gourmets, visit interesting venues such as theater events, movies, different bars/dance clubs, comedy shows, bowling, etc.

Discover new restaurants, enjoy delicious meals and make satisfying conversation with friendly dinner companions. We plan to visit some wine bars as well...It's a big dinner table and all are welcome!

This group is intended for interesting folk with a playful spirit--those who like or NEED to cut loose every now and then. It is for singles as well as married people attending with or without their spouse. Most of the events will be concentrated in the western suburbs, but will have some plans for the city sometimes as well.

Meetups will be on the SECOND WEDNESDAY of the month at 7:00 pm, and additional scheduled events will be on at least one weekend night per month--to be scheduled.

Mullen's Bar & Grill in Lisle, IL

Description:
The first meeting will be held at a venue that has food and beverages--both soft and hard.

We intend to visit different restaurants, theaters, bars/clubs, musical and theatrical productions, perhaps some sight seeing/architectural tours, etc.

The club's events are currently scheduled for the 2nd Wednesday of the month; as well as future scheduled one "weekend" night per month adventures.

This group was formed so interesting people could find each other outside of their usual daily grind. We're a friendly bunch who like to mix things up and meet new people; both--like ourselves as well as people we can learn new things from.

We come from all walks of life...some grad students, some semi-retired, white collar and professionals, as well as those in the trades. Our commonality is our zest for fun and adventure. Sometimes we misbehave a bit. (our fearless leaders encourage it in fact)

We're smart, sassy, playful souls who need to cut loose and have some more fun in our lives.

We invite YOU to find fun frolics with us! (keep in mind, the best way to grow a great group is for members to make suggestions as to interesting venues, and to help us actively recruit and "collect" people you find interesting...so why don't you join us, have some fun, and then tell other interesting people about us as well)

So join up and let me know what types of events you would like to see us plan for--as I'm pretty flexible and like to change things up to keep things interesting. So please contact me with any questions, as well as upcoming scheduled events.
