About Airbus A380 - The Reference Group

...press the pull down arrow next to the Facebook logo above your photo
...copy the link for a medium (default) sized version of your photo (500 pixels wide)
...search for the appropriate thread in the discussion section of the group
...paste the link as an answer to the thread you want to add it to.

In this group each MSN will have its own discussion thread with technical data and reference photos.

Flickr is a great place to store and share photos, but it´s kind of chaotic. Not everybody is using tags or appropriate descriptions of the photos he is posting. There are no rules, so it is like petabytes of unstructured information. In real life I work for a company that deals with the handling of information as it is the center of it all. We all are responsible what and how to post information at Flickr, so why don´t we do it in a way that makes it useful for everybody?



I will give you an example: several months ago I have founded the group "Airplanes: Nose Shots" which has simply become a great success. It currently consists of more than 1,500 members and more than 40,000 photos, BUT...

...have you ever clicked through more than five or six pages?
...have you ever searched for a special content inside the group?
...if so, did you find what you were searching for?
...did you find something that was not tagged or titled sufficiently?
...do you feel your photos disappear in a group?
...didn´t your page impressions went up after posting to a group?

Now it´s time to change that - at least in a way that is supported by Flickr. We will not have the luxury of a database here that is fun to search in, but we can ease the pain by doing the following:

...there will be a separate thread for every Airbus A380 that was built/will be built
...the thread will contain the basic data of the aircraft
...the thread will contain YOUR photos of THIS aircraft
...additional threads can be added, if new aircraft go into service
...you will be able to find specific photos on one page

PLEASE take care that the photos will be posted into the correct thread. You can identify it easily when looking at the registration of the aircraft. Photos that do not belong into a thread will be deleted without notice to keep the content "clean".
