About An A-Z of London
Basically, anything which is a tightly cropped photograph of a letter, nicely composed, in London - and square! We can create a group pool and perhaps one day make it a collective poster - it doesn't matter who takes it so long as the image is good and reasonable res - at least 800x800 pixels?
IT HAS GOT TO BE SQUARE!!!
I hope I get to see a lot of lovely images of vernacular typography, randomly beautiful compositions and accidental geometry...
This is going back to a theme I started at art college in 1995 - went to the Ruskin in Oxford - and damnnit have I just lost the entire lot?
Although I know its not an original concept, Lee Friendlander did it with 'Letters to the People' and many londoners will recognise Eine even if they didn't know who he is... I think this one has a lot of mileage to create a great graphic collaboration. Start simple then maybe get them into sets of letters?
Hopefully the batch I made this weekend will give a fair idea as to what this group should be about?
