Summer Light

view profile

Auntie P  Pro User  says:

It's almost summer here in the UK and the light is getting stronger. Perfect for strong shadows to pick out the contours of peeling paint; to bounce light off the shiny surfaces; and to dry out what's been rotting all winter.

What changes are taking place in your part of the world, and what effects can the weather and season have on this subject matter?

It has been really rainy here in Michigan this Spring. I think it makes pealing paint look a little more forlorn. Sadder in a way. Moodier.

When I get almost summer, I'll let you know! It's 8 degrees (that's somewhere in the 50s) here and rainlashed windy.. So although we have a huge amount of daylight, it's currently all grey with low cloud and not a shadow in sight! Peeling paint right now just looks soggy and dull :(
