These are moments where something has happened, or is about to happen... a photo where the story is obvious in the photo. PHOTOS JUST OF PEOPLE, PLACES, ANIMALS OR BUILDINGS, WITHOUT SOME ACTION OR STORY, ARE NOT ACCEPTED, JUST SO YOU KNOW.

About ~That One Moment~

Photos that have captured one defining moment in time that makes the photo outstanding-- a moment of discovery, a moment of recognition, a moment that captures the essence of a life-- those are the photos that belong in this group, photos that tell an entire story in one scene.
I chose for the icon the photo from President John F. Kennedy's funeral; this is an iconic photograph, seen the world over, and anyone seeing it knows where it was taken, when and what it means.
Some photos do that for us, capture one moment in time that tells an entire story. That's what the group is about, those photos that capture that one special moment.
To be clear. there needs to be some sort of action-- happening, about to happen, or just happened-- to be accepted in the group. Shots of buildings, places, people or animals without some sort of action, just don't fit into the group.
Also, we prefer photos that mean something to you, something personal... not photos of famous people or famous places... photos that are special to you.

The photo below does that: everything in the photo tells a part of the story, and the photo as a whole has captured a moment in time that shouldn't be forgotten. I appreciate the photographer allowing me to use it on the front page of the group, as an outstanding example of what I'm looking for in the photos for the group. I truly believe this is one of the best photos that I've ever seen, on or off Flickr.
