New Work: Newark in 3D
A Centennial Film Commission by
Marylou Tibaldo-Bongiorno and Jerome Bongiorno

About the Film

New Work is a six-minute, black-and-white 3D inspired film by the 1920 avant-garde film, Manhatta. Like this earlier film which traces a day in the life of early twentieth-century Manhattan from dawn until dusk, New Work is an homage to early twenty-first century Newark - its beauty, its elegance and its hidden treasures. Including poetry and music created by Newark artists, the film captures the life of the city's streets, the magnificence of its historic architecture, and the bustling energy of its port and transit hubs.
