If I had that situation I'd plead with security and get some form of storage locker near the security staff to stash the camera.
I also work in a data secure environment and I asked my boss about it and he gave me the thumbs up. There was 2 elements: Make sure I do not use it on the premises and if the company begins to offer the product here in Europe to its customers then I'll have to leave it at home.
Wish I could suggest more but -25 degrees, ouch! Cold water vapour can just get into anything. Some Silica and an air-tight bag at first thought, wrapped in a thermos bag. Thats what I'd do I suppose.

All our lockers are located close to us near our work centers.
Thanks for your input....this is tough. My option is try to grab a camera pass with the reason being I'm totally addicted to carrying my camera all the time. Or come up with a proper way to store her in the car for 8 hours of -25 in winter and +30 in summer. AHHHH!!!

Most lowepro and tamrac bags will keep your camera from getting wet, but it won't do much for cold weather.

Seems like the cold is the biggest issue for me to solve! Some trial runs resulted in a very cold camera.....but pics still fine at -5 deg. My camera bag is great....but it's still the coldness issue I worry about.

What about putting the camera bag in an Igloo type cooler? It will take up more room in your car, but it might keep it a little warmer. Of course, at -25, I should say not as cold.

HEY GREAT UPDATE!!
I have discovered a store that sells whats called an "inside car warmer". Now apparently it blows a soft gentle warm breeze inside the vehicle and warms the interior just a bit and runs off your cigarette lighter. I just want to find out if it's going to suck all the power out of my battery in 8 hours. I'll update you when i get the answer.

This is an interesting thread. I would like to also introduce another issue. Condensation. See this thread that I started about cold temps, condensation and nightshooting ( of course, this can be applied to any time of the day ). See this
this thread
You ask some good questions. I'm concerned about leaving my camera in cold temps for long periods of time because of the condensation issue. I also have my camera and all my equipment insured on a seperate policy outside rents or homeowners. No deductable. I have heard and read of horror stories regarding a camera bag getting swiped. I think I would cry if it happened to me....big croc tears!!!!!

I have a similar concern. I'm going to Lake Tahoe in January and plan on spending a lot of time outdoors with my camera. Good info here.
