24 Feb 09 - I would like to remind again on the rules - pictures created through Second Life are the essential basis for all your layouts. I get a lot of excellent work submitted that is hand drawn, painted or otherwise typography - sadly this is not what this specific group is looking for. Please don't take it as personal judgement on your work if an image is declined due to that. :-)

About SL Typography: Posters, Fake Ads, Vintage Layouts,...




This is something I was looking for but couldn't find - so here's a new group. It is inspired by another flickr group I found where people collect old movie posters or popart things, if you'd like to sneak-view over to them, look here and maybe you find your inspiration there to create something through SL for here! ;-)

What goes in this pool:
The challenge is creating layouts through Second Life... fake ads, fake movie posters, fake vintage posters, recreation of existing posters through SL or extremely good typography - whatever comes to mind! Only exception: No advertisements for your store/events in here please. There's groups for that, so please rather join them. Abuse of this will lead to removal of the image. The group is more about the fun with typography and layouting and not ment ot turn into an ad board!

Overall, I hope to see good designs and not just text-written-randomly-over-the-image - so to post, please have a look at what's in the pool to get an idea of what it is about, and put a little bit of effort into the creation :-) It would be great if we could share some inspirations and maybe offer each other suggestions when they are asked for (See the before linked suggestion for further details).

Artistic nudes welcome (hey, it's part of vintage pinup ads, isn't it) - but no porn! Please always flag your images appropriately.
