About 5 Star Portraits

A group to display your best portraits. Posting to this group is by 'invitation only' and a very high standard will be maintained. If you have a photograph that you feel is worthy of inclusion then please submit it for an Administrator's review. Photographs of adults are preferred, photographs of children will rarely be permitted and only if the most excellent quality. Photographs of babies will almost never be accepted.

The pool will be periodically pruned as it grows to allow it to evolve and to continuously raise the bar: please do not be offended if your photograph is removed.

There is also an 18+ version of this group for postings that will not be suitable for minors. Administrators, please invite portraits that you meet the above criteria and which fall within the rules of the Group.

GROUP RULES

1. Portraits only (headshots, full body or face and partial body) .

2. Moderate and restricted photographs must be appropriately tagged and restricted (anything nut suitable for minors should be posted in the 18+ version of this Group).

3. No pornography or nudity (implied may be acceptable). There is an 18+ version of this Group for works that include nudity, providing they have artistic or technical merit.

4. Do not post more than 3 samples of a subject from any 1 set (unless there is a significant change of location, costume or other differentiator).

5. The emphasis of the group is on the face: faces of subjects must be at least partially visible. At least one of the subjects eyes must be visible.

6. Photographs posted must be your own work. Please do not post photographs found on the internet. Models may post photographs of themselves taken by other photographers if they have the permission of the photgrapher to post the work on Flickr.

7. Photographs of adults are preferred: the occassional photograph of a child will be permitted if it of excellent artistic merit but please keep them to a minimum. Photographs of babies will almost never be accepted.


8. The Group Icon will be periodically selected from photographs posted in the Group.
