Stall selling salt crystals by Lake Assal, Djibouti. Assal (the white glare in the background) is said to be the saltiest water in the world, 10 times more saline than the oceans. Also the lowest point in Africa, 155m below sea level.

Woman selling Qat (or Khat) on a wood case in Djibouti in the evening. A very strong inhabit in Djibouti, life is organised around this daily ceremony : to buy fresh Qat, a soft drug coming by plane from Ethiopia.
On the wall panel you can read in french : "Bois de construction, contre plaqué, ciment". It means building material like wood and cement.
The building in itself is a good sample of the local architecture with a colonial style that you can find in the city.
