About Architect: Mary Elizabeth Jane Colter

A place for photographs of the art and architecture of Mary Elizabeth Jane Colter (b. April 4th 1869 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; d. January 8th 1958). Her "organic" architecture, mainly in the vicinity of the Grand Canyon, include "La Posada", "The Phantom Ranch", "Hopi House", "Hermit's Rest", "The Lookout Studio", "The Desert View Watch Tower" and "Bright Angel Lodge".
