About "Holiday Cacti"
This group is not for actual cacti but for those plants generally referred to as Christmas, Thanksgiving or Easter Cacti.
It is a place to show off your:
Christmas cactus (Schlumbergera bridgesii) is a popular, winter-flowering houseplant native to Brazil, available in a wide variety of colors including red, purple, oranges, pinks and creams. Its pendulous stems make it a great choice for hanging baskets.
Thanksgiving cactus (Schlumbergera truncata) When grown under normal nightlength conditions, Thanksgiving cacti normally flower near Thanksgiving approximately a month before Christmas cacti.
Easter cactus (Rhipsalidopsis gaertneri) which flowers primarily in the spring and sporadically throughout the year.
