About We Need Teach for America in Western NY
Buffalo and Rochester desperately need Teach for America.
While you will find positives and negatives in ANY school district the high poverty areas suffer from high teacher turn over rate, very low test scores, and much more. Having spent a lot of time so far in western NY city schools I would know compared to middle and upper income schools they desperately need help.
If more people join this group and add their names, perhaps we can get Teach for America (who just received a large donation) to start their program in western NY to help inner city kids of Buffalo and Rochester.
