Show Description
Far From Home is a group exhibition where the art represents what it means to be away from or out of town. Whether you visit another state or feel like you traveled through another person's story, this group of work will take the viewer on a trip to a new location. Using a variety of artistic media, each artist will describe a sense of place. Mapping all these far away places together will create another kind of vacation.

Eligibility
Artists working in all media are encouraged to apply. Artists who submit work with special installation requirements should be available during installation time, November 6, 2006. Artists must be 18 years of age or older to apply.
Entry Guidelines
A non-refundable entry fee of $15 made payable in the form of check or money order to Dana Gentile. (Fee goes toward gallery rental, installation and reception costs.) Artists may submit five (5) images in the form of 35mm slides or jpeg digital images that are 150 dpi, approximately 4" x 6", on CD properly labeled with artist name, title, size and date. Please send one image per work. Video artists may send a copy of up to five minutes of video on VHS. Please do not send original material. Artists should also fill out and sign the submission form and include artist statement and resume. If you want your materials returned please send a SASE with sufficient postage. All work must be for sale. There will be a 30% sales commission to all works sold. Please email curator.dana@gmail.com for submission form.
