The original of your photo needs to be 1000 or 1024 pixels to give the Flickr High Res greasemonkey script optimal conditions to work.
Optional but desired: Tag your photo with 1000pixel to fit into the following Tag Search or large size Slide Show. Both are sorted by interestingness.

After not doing much with this group for 3 months, I decided to modify it into a showcase for the new Flickr High Res greasemonkey script which turns flickr into something that is fun on a 1600x1200 or 1920x1200 monitor. The current version of the script takes the original size of every photo and resizes it into a 1000 pixel version. Small originals mostly look ugly after this treatment. 8 Megapixel originals take a long time to load and sometimes look ugly too because the resizer built into the firefox browser does a very bad job at preserving the quality of the original in the resized picture. Therefore this group pool is only open to photos with a 1000 or 1024 pixel original size where the resizing has been done by software doing a proper job of it.

Here I show how a photo page with an 800 pixel original resized to 1000 pixels looks on a 1920x1200 monitor.



Well it is the 100,447th group actuallly. I wanted to get closer but missed the correct time by a few hours. This group was created on september the 5th 2006 at 12.00.
