About 90019

The class 90s were built by BREL at their Crewe works between 1987 and 1990. EWS aquired 20 90s from railfreight distribution and another 5 from RES in 1996. 90019 was one of the 5 from RES, and was also the last 90 in the RES livery. In 2006, an agreement was reached between EWS and First ScotRail to repaint 3 class 90s into the FSR livery with small EWS logos on the cab, to be used on the Caledonian Sleeper, 90019 is one of these locos (along with 90021 and 90024).
