About Heritage Key

Heritage Key Flickr Pool is dedicated to bringing together photography of Ancient World sites and archaeology around the globe!

We – Heritage Key - have set up this group so that visitors and members of Heritage Key can send us their photos and share them with the world. Your photos may be streamed live on the Heritage Key, but will always contain a link back to it's Flickr page and/or attribution to the photographer. For full terms and conditions about copyright and use of your photos added to this group, scroll down.

You've been to an impressive heritage site and want to share? Great! Whether it's a photo of an artefact, archaeological site, the architecture or of you having fun and enjoying the place, this is the place to add them. Upload your photos of heritage, ancient world sites and artefacts from around the world.

-- Scope of the Heritage Key Project --

Heritage Key's err... key focus, is from first cave painting, about 35,000 BC, until Justinian I finished the Hagia Sophia, the 6th century AD. But there are exceptions, especially if you look beyond our 'European' definition of what is ancient. For instance we do consider the great Machu Pichu to be part of the 'Ancient World'. When in doubt, you can always contact one of the group admins.

Please read these terms before sharing your photos with the Heritage Key group on Flickr. They give Heritage Key permission to use your photos, but ensure you retain all rights.

By posting any photos on the Heritage Key group on Flickr, you agree to grant to Heriage Key a free, non-exclusive right to display your photos on the Heritage Key website, and on or in other Heritage Key websites at any time and for so long as we choose. Thumbnails of your images may be produced and hosted on Heritage Key servers, however these thumbnails will link to articles containing your images where your full attribution will be given.

When we use your photos on a Heritage Key website, we will where reasonably appropriate attribute and link back to your Flickr photostream.

You remain the owner of copyright in your photos and are free to use them in any way you choose, subject to any other restraints.

You agree and guarantee that any photo posted on the group is your own original work, and that you own copyright in it and are entitled to make it available as set out above, and that its use will not give rise any third party claims or breach any UK laws.

You also agree with Heritage Key that your photos will meet the requirements of Yahoo’s Terms of Service. If there is any conflict between these terms and Yahoo’s Terms of Service, these terms will only apply for the uses of your photos set out above.
