About North Center, Chicago

North Center is Community Area 5 of the city's 77 official neighborhoods.

Its historical boundaries are Diversey Ave (2800 N) to Montrose Ave (4400 N), Ravenswood Ave (1800 W) to the Chicago River.

In current usage, North Center refers, generally, to the area from Irving Park Rd (4000 N) to Montrose Ave, from Ravenswood Ave to Western Ave (2400 W).

North Center - the official Community Area - includes Hamlin Park, Horner Park, Roscoe Village, Saint Ben's and West Lakeview.
