About Farmers Weekly photo competition

YOUR FARMING PHOTO COULD WIN A £100 PRIZE

Yes, it’s the time of the year for the Farmers Weekly Photo Competition. As in the past, you can post us a nice crisp print or two. But the dramatic innovation this year is that you can also send us your digital pics direct, either by emailing them or uploading them to a special picture display website.
Even more excitingly, you’ll be able to view all the digital pics sent in and vote for your favourite.
The six categories are the same as in previous years.
1.Livestock scenes.
2.Arable scenes.
3.General farm activities.
4.Humour.
5.Children.
6.Nature.

READ THE RULES

Digital pics
•No more than five images, please.
•They need to be a reasonable size for us to be able to print them so file sizes should be bigger than 200KB. If in doubt, set your camera to its highest picture dimension and quality settings. Bear in mind that they could take a while to send if you’re on dial-up email (as opposed to broadband).
General
• The competition is open to amateur photographers only.
* Please say which category you want your pictures entered into.
• The winner of each category (plus the Fwi viewers’ choice) will each receive £100; all runners up will get £10.
• The winning photos will be published in FW and on FWi over the Christmas/New Year period. All digital pics will be viewable on our website
● Closing date is 24 November, 2006
