Here's the archive of all our monthly contest winners

Our mission is to be a friendly little group of Flickrers in the western suburbs of Chicago. Members must be from the west suburban area or visit regularly. Photos can be from anywhere. But the you need to be part of the community either because you live or work here, or you're from here.

Meetups - Feel free to announce when you're going to do something and wouldn't mind some company. While we'll be doing "official trips", anyone can organize something. Here are the qualifications for organizing a meetup

Here are some other suggestions for discussion topics:

1. More bragging: you got something published, sold something, you're participating in a show, you won a contest, etc.
2. Announce: introduce yourself, alert to upcoming contests, festivals and events, someone's having a baby, etc.
3. Ask: technical questions, how flickr works, etc.
4. Suggest: ideas for meetups, contests, group icons, interesting web sites, tips, management of the group, etc.
5. Anything else that you can think of

Unpleasantness

Offensive language, etc. or discussions that are basically personal disagreements will be removed as will images that are offensive or NSFW (not safe for the workplace).

Cross-postings are OK if done by active members of the group and they wish to announce something to multiple relevant groups. However, if the posting is by a brand new or inactive member, involves a commercial enterprise, or just smells spammy, then it will be removed. And the poster may be removed as well. If you're unsure, please simply send a question to your humble administrator. The mere inquiry will probably mean that you're not engaging in abusive cross-posting.

Please refrain from starting and continuing political discussions. These are WAY off topic, and are almost guaranteed to devolve into real unpleasantness. Posting political images in the pool is OK. However please keep it out of the discussions.

If either your photostream or your contacts' photostreams contain mostly offensive or NSFW photos, you belong to groups that are NSFW, you have similar pictures as favorites, or your profile and photostream are empty, you will probably be removed from the group. We're not making a moral judgment - we're just trying to make everyone in the community more comfortable.

Feel free to drop the administrator an email
If you're not happy with something, please let me know.
