About Open Source Photography (OSP)

** This Group has a parallel Wiki which works as its own repository of knowlege **

This group deals with the usage of open source software to process photography. It intends to be a forum to share experiences and advances in the area of OSP. Image pos-processing using gimp, experiences with plug-ins, different open source for Tone mapping and HDRs, and much more …

Photos to be elligeble to this group must have been post-processed with an open source software tool. Please include tags showing the OSP software which you have used.

All photography work featured in this Group are the copywrite of their authors. By posting them in this Group no copywrite is transfered or made public.

This group stresses the value of open source as a way forward in digital photography defending that by using cooperative work, much in the spirit of flickr it will be possible to achieve a great progress …

Post in this group any photo having been processed with OSP software. It would be welcomed if you explained how you did it !!

Comments on the pool photos are welcomed, but by no means compulsory. This is a group about sharing and learning and not about promoting photos.

If you find in Flickr interesting photos with open source refferences in their tags, feel free to leave a comment with an invitation to join this group , by cutting and pasting the following lines of code between the -- :

An important part of this Group is the parallel Wiki which we are at the moment develloping. It is a more static support than the discussing threads, allowing you to view and to contribute with you own tutorials, tricks and how-tos. To get to it follow the link and if you want to contribute you must become a member. You can to that without Admin intervention by using the password "osp" at the final registration stage.
