In image processing, computer graphics, and photography, high dynamic range imaging (HDRI) is a set of techniques that allows a greater dynamic range of exposures (the range of values between light and dark areas) than normal digital imaging techniques. The intention of HDRI is to accurately represent the wide range of intensity levels found in real scenes ranging from direct sunlight to shadows. It's similar to the old technique of exposure blending. The end result varies according to one's personal preference from natural looking photos to painterly images. Orton Imagery, also called an Orton slide sandwich, is a photographic technique which uses two different exposures of the same image and then stacking the images together in a software such as Photoshop resulting in a distinctive mix of high and low detail areas within the same photo. Gaussian blur is then applied to give the image that "ethereal" or "dreamy" effect. This technique was originated by photographer Michael Orton. An online tutorial can be found here.

Sepia tone refers to the coloring of a black and white photographic print that has been toned with a sepia toner to simulate the faded brownish color of some early photographs.
