About 1-2-3 History (post 1, comment on 2, view 3)

This is the group for people who love world history and photographing everything that has significance in world history. Subjects can include buildings, statues, maps, art, documents, coins, trains, aircraft, ships, vehicles or archaeological sites.

No current events. No 21st century subjects.
Photographs can be taken yesterday but the subjects must have existed on or before December 31, 1999.
Example: a modern air show is OK provided the aircraft pictured existed before December 31, 1999.
Example: a modern street scene is OK but the buildings must be old.

The concept here is the same as in the existing groups 1-2-3 and 3-2-1: Post ONE photo A DAY, comment on TWO photos and view THREE photos of the pool. The concept works only if everyone takes part.

Photographs should be accompanied by some historical information including dates.
Captions do not have to be written in English but an English translation would be helpful.

Photos of re-enactors are acceptable provided they are taken on genuine historic sites such as Gettysburg or Battle Abbey and not at a modern theme park or in a shopping mall.

Non-history photos will be deleted. No nudity unless a bona-fide work of art such as a statue or a painting.
Example: Michaelangelo's 'David' would be acceptable.
