About Textile History - ancient, medieval and renaissance (pre 1700)
This group is a place to post photographs of pre 1700 textiles. A resource for enthusiasts and historians, we can share with each other our discoveries and finds. Enthusiasts of embroidered, woven or painted textiles; anything medieval, renaissance, or even ancient are welcome.
Photographs of whole pre 1700 garments, closeups... everything welcome!
But you should note, this is not the place to post reconstructions/creations of garments and textiles, as we are trying to make this a source of secondary (ie. photos of primary) documentation and information. The Living History photo group is probably the perfect place to put any photos of your creations.
