About Commitment Congregation Banners

Congregations and presbyteries have created banners celebrating their commitment to peacemaking and their peacemaking ministries. Created in 1983, the Commitment to Peacemaking is a tool used by Presbyterian congregations, presbyteries, synods and other groups to make a public affirmation that peacemaking is a central part of their ministry following Jesus Christ. The Commitment then helps the group plan and implement specific ministries.
