About The Happy Fruity World of Koeda-chan
This group is about that little forest dweller, Koeda-chan and her friends. She was marketed in the US as Treena Treetop which is a close assimilation to her Japanese name Koeda-chan which means "little branch".
In the 70s she was marketed in European countries as Baby Candy, named after the cartoon soap opera Candy Candy and distributed by Polistil. You can actually find vintage Koeda chan toys carrying the Baby Candy name. She was also known as Poppet in the UK and distributed by Acamas Toys.
Her 2006 comeback was less than stellar but she created quite an esoteric following amongst kidult collectors. This group is a collective pool of everything that is Koedachan regardless of the different corporate pseudonyms she had.
It's fun in Koedachan Land! Nobody works, they all live peacefully, bake pies and pizzas all day and everybody is a unique fruit!
