About 7x7 Street Food

A picture, worth a thousand words. Or, if you look at the Street Food Photo Contest and ensuing Flickr stream, maybe a couple of thousand pictures are worth a fortune? Either way, it's a riddle. And riddles and photos and street food being what brought us all together, why not celebrate them one last time. That's right, folks, you all played with us, and now it's time for us to relax and play with you. For the riddle-inclined, details are below, for those uninclined to follow riddles, feel free to send me an email at caleb@lacocinasf.org with an rsvp (actually, just do that anyway please!).

The long and short of it is that La Cocina, Crumpler and 7x7 Magazine would like to invite you to celebrate your amazing street food photographs, your energy and your interest in street food for a one-extravaganza on Wednesday, September 30th from 6:30-9 p.m.. We'll be serving $1 tacos, special drinks just for you and giving away prizes galore. You bring yourselves, we'll bring the music, your pictures from the contest and the videos that made all of this so very very very much fun!

SUBMIT YOUR STREET FOOD PHOTOS TO 7X7

Submit your best images of street food from around the world! We want to see the taco trucks, ramen stands and bacon-wrapped hot dog vendors. We’re looking for mouthwatering images of yakitori, funnel cakes and falafel. Post your high-resolution digital images here—the photographer of the best one (chosen by the 7x7 art team) will win a “Cork and Fork” limited edition photo bag (value: $495) courtesy of Crumpler (http://www.crumplerbags.com). The best of the bunch will be featured on 7x7.com.

IMPORTANT: To be considered, EACH photo on Flickr must contain this information in its description:
(1) the name and location where the photograph was taken
(2) the full name of the photographer
(3) the hometown of the photographer
