13 Dec 11 - Hi All!

Please remember that you MUST critique at least TWO of the FIVE shots ahead of yours (to the right) in the pool, for each one you post.
The Critique 2 rule is NOT about comment gathering. It is about providing others with constructive feedback, and tune your own critical eye for photography. Try to be specific and not just throw out "Like" comments, such as "Great Shot", etc...

Enjoy

All comments should be informative!
Even if you just want to say you liked a photo, say why, so they know what about it works. Comments like, "Great Shot!" are not critiques, and do not count as such. Positive comments are critiques, if you say why or what about it you liked. The goal is to improve everybody's ability, so GIVE REASONS FOR YOUR OPINIONS. Don't be afraid to be critical so long as you are explaining why and whenever possible, how to fix it. Constructive criticism is by it's very nature critical, but is also constructive, and is the single best tool in helping others to improve.

Things that should not be posted...
This is covered in our FAQ under What type of photos are NOT allowed in the group and why?

But the general rule is, if you can't take constructive criticism, then DO NOT POST!
Accepting only positive feedback and selectively deleting comments or critiques because you don't like what they say, will result in getting dropped or banned from the group, period. Argumentative replies to critiques are arrogant and counter-productive as well, so if you can't take it, don't expect to be allowed to give it.
