About Lake View, Chicago
Lake View is one of Chicago's 77 official community areas - area 6. It's more commonly spelled Lakeview, but YoChicago uses the official designation - "Lake View."
Lake View lies along Chicago's north lakefront and is bounded by Diversey Pkwy (2800 N) north to Irving Park Rd (4000 N), and Lake Michigan west to Ravenswood Ave (1800 W). Lincoln Park lies to the south, Uptown to the north.
Like many successful communities, Lake View has many sub-neighborhoods, including Belmont Harbor, Boys Town (Boystown), Lakeview Central, Lakeview East, Northalsted and Wrigleyville.
West Lakeview, which is rather curiously named given the fact that it starts more than two miles west of the lake at Ravenswood Ave, is in the area historically known as North Center and falls within our North Side area.
ZIP codes: 60657, 60613
