San Francisco: City of Cocktails (aka Book Club)

Formerly known as "SF: Summer of Cocktails", we've now completed the Bay Area locations in the 2008 F&W Cocktails book and are moving on to other worthy watering holes.

A summer of what?
Cocktails. Over 14 SF cocktails were featured in the Food & Wine Cocktails 2008 book as being notable among a nationwide selection. So a few of us -- Jen, Jane, Jeanne, Stephanie, Anita, Cameron -- thought it would be fun to try and tackle one cocktail a week at different locations around the city.

How will this work?
This is meant to be a super casual event, a "fend for yourself" event at the bars - no reservations will be made. You can let Jen know you're coming or not. Jen will try and be at most, but may not make all events. And we don't expect you to either! Just drop in if you'd like to. We will try to call ahead to the bars to see if the noted drink is available, but can't promise that we'll always get there to find the noted drink available. (Then, the worst that will happen is that we'll be out, together, with alcohol, right?)

Who can play?
This group is open to anyone who attends at least one of the Summer of Cocktails events -- please ask to be added if we've overlooked you.
