About The Milkweed Zoo
Milkweeds have numerous visitors, not just monarch butterflies and their caterpillars but many other insects of a wide variety. Over eighty species of insects have been reported to visit the flowers of just one species Asclepias syriaca, so if you include other species of milkweeds and other plant parts you will probably find hundreds of species of visitors, that is why I call it a zoo.
This group is about visitors to all kinds of Asclepias, please include any information that you find pertinent: ID of plant and insect (when known), warning coloration, pollinia carrying, trapped insects, etc.
