About Philadelphia CemeteriesPhotos of cemeteries in Philadelphia, PA. A recent article in the Philadelphia Inquirer told of the large number of neglected and abandoned cemeteries in Philadelphia. Oddly, there is almost no legal regulation of cemeteries in Pennsylvania. This is an ironic feature of living in the most historic city in America. Perhaps creating an aesthetic awareness of our cemeteries will lead to a greater social awareness of these largely neglected cultural treasures. |
