About Dutch Polaroid Plant

A pilgrimage to the source of the last Polaroid film in the galaxy.

A day in Polaroid heaven - we were showed around all of the plant by the production manager.
We could look at everything and take photos off what we wanted.

They gave us as much film as we could shoot.

They even let us go inside the assembly machine where negative, positive and developer are joined and film packs are assembled. They switched the light on so we could see the machine working which destroyed 40 packs of film.

We talked to the people, managers, technicians, the chemist and they answered all of our questions.

I didn't know it was so difficult to produce instant film. It is a constant struggle to keep quality up
as the raw materialy vary.
The end of production has many reasons besides Petters pillaging.
Availability of chemicals is a big problem.
It is also clear to me now that no other company would step in.
