Paintings found or submitted that renew some faith in the medium.

This is meant to be more of an online gallery space, so it is "curated" in a sense that I will chose paintings that I find interesting and request that the artist post them. If, however, you feel like you'd like to add something go right ahead, but I will have to approve it before it goes on. I am trying to keep the space uncluttered, so it is not too overwhelming (like a lot of flickr groups). Please don't be offended if I don't accept your image or only take one or two from each artist.

It is difficult to say what I am looking for here, except that I want works that are very conscious of the medium and/or that do something (relatively) new with composition, colour or concept. Abstract and figurative both welcome.
