Question #1: I want to add a picture of someone. Do I need to look at all the other photos in the pool to make sure no one has added a picture of that person already?
Answer: No. If someone else submits a photo of the same person, so be it. There's really no way to check it.

Question #2: What if i want to add a photo with 2 persons? I´ve seen several on the pool, but is it allowed?
Answer: We really want photos featuring one person. So if it's two people side-by-side, we'll probably boot it. But background figures are ok, and we've tended to allow photos where one person is obviously the subject. We've also started making exceptions for people holding babies when one or the other is obviously the focus.
So it's not officially allowed. And if it does have 2 people in it, it may be removed. Group shots are definitely not allowed. But shots featuring one person in the foreground with others in the background, those are OK. Two people side-by-side, not so much. It's all opaque. We want to show people as they are, and no one exists as an island, hence the leeway. This is probably the toughest question to answer, and I welcome everyone's input on this.

Question 7: Are there any preferred types of photos?
Answer: We love up close portraits. And photos of people doing things. The one guideline that makes life much easier for the moderators is to submit photos where it's really obvious from the thumbnail-sized photo that it's a picture of exactly one person.

Question 9: How can I post my photo here? I want to add my portrait here.
Answer: Once you've joined the group, find the photo you want to add. Above the picture, there should be a button that says "Send to Group." Click on that. A drop down list will appear with your groups. Click where it says "6 Million People ..." (you may have to scroll down) and your photo will be added.

Question 10: Can I promote my group here?
Answer:
If you want to to promote your group you may, provided:
1) You make an announcement in your own group, in its own thread, about the 6 Million People project and link to this group. Bonus points for mentioning Spotlight 7 as well.
2) The post to promote your group here must be at least a tiny bit personalized, and you have to include a link to the 6 Million People thread in the promoted group.
3) Only one post per group, and don't get sly with bumping the old thread.
4) One post per person each month.
All group promotion threads that do not meet this criteria are subject to deletion without warning or notice.

Good one D40. Best to kindly tap on their shoulder and let them know-- most of the time it's a mistake. Alternatively, feel free to contact any of the moderators or admins and we'll handle it.
