LIGHT, where light is the primary subject. Since all photography involves light (there is one notable exception at the bottom of this page!) any photo or group might seem to fit. But this group is about photos where the main reason for taking the photo was to capture a special lighting effect.
For example, If I see a cool car I take a picture of it because I like that car. If I see a particular interplay of light and shadow on the hood then I take it for that reason, whether it's a particularly interesting car or not. Then if I get really lucky I can get the cool car and the interplay of light and shadow together in the same photo!
