About BUSTED: STREET PHOTOGRAPHY NOT PERMITTED!
An unfortunate side affect with private property is that it allows the man to set his own agenda of use. Malls, Museums and office parks are often full of opportunities. Freedom of speech does not exist in these enclaves.
So too we often find that individuals often don't understand our motives. Most people can't be bothered with understanding their own rights let alone the rights of photographers. This group then is the exploration of the fight we sometimes make to photograph the images we see.
These photos are ones we fought for; were asked to surrender our film/cards for; were accosted, totally misunderstood and perhaps arrested for.
Street photography is the obvious vehicle for this group. Other styles are okay too. What were looking for is the images you had to fight to get. We want to hear the stories too.
It would be wonderful if each post was accompanied by a new discussion about the situation around which the photo was taken.
