About Volunteer Africa
Volunteer Africa is an international 'not for profit' organisation that is run by a team of volunteers spread around the world. Volunteer Africa has been established to give people from around the world the opportunity to work on community initiated projects in developing countries. In return for hosting these international volunteers the host organisation receives donations from the volunteers.
Volunteer Africa is a charity registered in England and Wales (registration number 1097963). Our background can be checked with the Charity Commission and Companies House in the UK.
The first projects took place in Tanzania during 2002 in Singida region. Now we operate in Singida, Mwanza and Tabora regions in partnership with three Tanzanian NGOs Health Action Promotion Association (HAPA), Hisani and Health Action Promotion Organisation (HAPO).
