About Stranger Things Have Happened

Have you ever found a photo of a stranger and wondered about the stories behind it -- or that person? You find yourself pondering the picture and its mysteries, creating the background and situation. Suddenly you've given this stranger a name, an occupation, hobbies... or even a dog. Maybe this stranger has an impeccable -- or questionable -- sense of fashion, or has a penchant for schnauzers. Or firearms. They choose odd places to go on vacation. The possibilities are endless, because you will never know. And that's the beauty of it.

Stranger Things Have Happened is a group where members can post their found photos of these strange strangers, and create the stories as a community -- everyone is welcome to participate in the storytelling and build on everyone's ideas. But please be kind: some of these strangers are not so unfamiliar anymore -- after finding them and bringing them home (something attracted you to them to begin with), they've become almost like family. So you don't necessarily want to just say that the girl in the photo is a "lady of the night" (ahem) just for the sake of it, but if you have a really good story leading up to WHY she became one, then by all means let the story take its course!
