About Renovo Elementary Maintenance Issues

The images in this group represent maintenance issues at Renovo Elementary that have been allowed to exist, in many cases for decades, contributing to the overall deterioration of the critical aspects of the school's infrastructure. Numerous efforts to bring attention to these problems through the appropriate channels failed. Renovo Elementary was placed last on the list for use of a bond to bring schools up to new, or like new condition. There is a reasonable concern that the first two projects will have drained the fund (especially with half the funds having already been spent on the first project) and little if any will be available for Renovo Elementary. Board members have made vague promises that there is money available to "take care of" Renovo. Unfortunately, there are no details coming from those board members regarding the extent to which the school will be renovated. None of the board members have toured the school to see the extent of the problems that exist. Hence, these photos are being made available online for their review as well as the general public.

This is more than a matter of whether or not those responsible for funding and maintenance of our schools lack pride in our school system. The photos in this group represent what appears to be willful neglect of this particular facility as well as the children and adults who have been forced to live with these conditions for quite some time.

Except for the photos of a botched pavement project at Bucktail, these photos represent part of the maintenance issues at Renovo Elementary. Bucktail, an older building than Renovo, has numerous issues as well. Bucktail is not scheduled for renovation.
