About Vintage Gas Stations (buildings)
This group is for photos of old gas stations (pre-mid-1970s) in any condition (restored or in disrepair; in use as a station or used now as something else). This group is all about the buildings: no photos of JUST the gas pumps or signs will make it in. Detail shots are fine if they are used in conjunction with other photo(s) of the building. Drab buildings that are just boxes, or hideously sided over, etc. may be deleted from the pool. The buildings should have some aesthetic merit. Buildings that may have been general stores with a couple pumps in front are not enough (okay, maybe a few vintage photos will slip in). Maps or other ephemera will be accepted if they are special enough and have representations of buildings.
Multiple photos of the same station, by the same person, should be kept to a maximum of three. If you have a lot of gas station photos, please add no more than 20 at a time, take a day off, and then bring more tomorrow. I retain the right to delete photos which I feel don't contribute to the group.
