About 365 Days of Music
This group is for folks who would like to participate in a daily picture project. The purpose is simple: One song per day, one picture to accompany the song.
The premise is designed for those who want a 365 project not focused on the self, but more specific than a general 'one photo per day' project - oh, and being a music nut doesn't hurt. If the group succeeds, it will facilitate new ideas and photographic thinking and also lead to the introduction of new music.
Here's how it will work:
- Take one photo per day, based on one song.
- 6 days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday), the song should be chosen randomly or quasi-randomly. I would suggest opening your music player (iTunes, MP3 player, etc), pressing shuffle, and seeing what pops up - that will be your song for the day.
It is my hope that the randomness of the track will inspire new photographic ideas, and really have you 'looking' for the perfect image throughout the day.
However, I'm aware that there are some songs that you will likely feel as though you've GOT to cover. This leads me to the remaining day:
- On Monday, you may choose the song for the day.
- When posting, there are 2 suggestions:
1. Tag your photo "music365". This will make for easy searching.
2. Put your photos in the group pool.
There are also 2 rules:
1. Include the track title and artist name. Lyrics would be nice, but isn't required.
2. Inform the reader, either in the description or the tags, if you photo has been altered in anyway (color enhanced, cropped, photoshopped, etc.). Altered photos are certainly welcome - the information is just to allow the viewer to know as much about your photographic process as possible.

If you'd like to participate, or just view the going ons of this group, feel free to join!
Also: There is a sister group, called 52 Weeks of Music, with the same purpose, but for those seeking a less commitment-heavy project.
