About Shooting Christmas

If there's one thing I love more than my camera (did i mention i've got a new camera?), it's Christmas. With lights, street decorations, baubles, streamers, crackers, gift-wrapping, paper hats, tinsel and shimmering party dresses, it's one of the most colourful times of the year. And with so much going on socially, it's also an amazing time for seeing new sides to people, capturing them at their most relaxed or seeing them partying hard. So what better theme for an informal little photography group? This group is for friends and friends-of-friends (and friends-of-friends-of friends, feel free to invite others) to show off their best pics over the next 5 weeks, to get inspiration and to swap photography tips, and all without getting lost in one of the other massive groups that are out there.

There are no limits on adding photos, so feel free to stick up anything you like - it can be stupid, beautiful, or just technically brilliant. As long as it's vaguely christmas-themed, it's welcome. Also, no question is too stupid, so feel free to ask anything you ever wanted to know about apertures, shutters, macros and reindeer.

Maybe it'll just turn into a group where the only action is Ben and me discussing the best way to focus on a Terry's Chocolate Orange, but there ain't anything wrong with that......
